Remembering My Friend “The Godfather”

The reports about the sudden death of the legendary dance-music DJ Frankie Warren Knuckles, Jr., have been confirmed. More commonly referred to as the Godfather of House Music, Knuckles, 59, died last Monday afternoon at his home. His longtime business partner and good friend, Frederick Dunston, was unavailable for comment but released a statement saying that more details would be released soon. Dunston did not confirm nor deny rumors that Knuckles had succumbed to complications from Type 2 diabetes.
