Jamaican Reggae Singer Vybz Karel Sentenced To Life in Prison

Vybz Kartel, a popular dancehall artist in Jamaica, has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted for the murder of an associate, according to reports by the BBC. Palmer and three other men were sentenced after being convicted of the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams in a dispute over missing firearms.

Remembering My Friend “The Godfather”

The reports about the sudden death of the legendary dance-music DJ Frankie Warren Knuckles, Jr., have been confirmed. More commonly referred to as the Godfather of House Music, Knuckles, 59, died last Monday afternoon at his home. His longtime business partner and good friend, Frederick Dunston, was unavailable for comment but released a statement saying that more details would be released soon. Dunston did not confirm nor deny rumors that Knuckles had succumbed to complications from Type 2 diabetes.
