Next Saturday, I-Fashion Magazine, a major chronicler of the industry’s style and substance, will mark its 10th Anniversary with a gala celebration in the heart of Midtown Manhattan’s Fashion District.
The milestone event will be co-hosted by international pop star Aaron Paul, an US Weekly “Fashion Cop” known for his flamboyant, trend-setting outfits and, of course, decades of hit singles and albums that have charted all around the globe. Aaron is the former frontman of the renowned Worlds Apart boyband, and in recent years, he’s been stealing a march on the music scene as an out, solo artist.
Whether it’s his special tribute to the victims of the Pulse Nightclub massacre and their families, or his sensational reboot of the Chaka Khan classic “Ain’t Nobody”, Aaron’s engaging stage presence and solid tracks have established him as a notable vocalist in his own right.
Joining Aaron for this gala evening is Midori Amae, a powerhouse model who was a Fan Favorite on “America’s Next Top Model”, as well as a past Miss Black Virginia USA, among her many accomplishments.
Together, Aaron and Midori will usher in a new chapter in the i-Fashion story. “I’m honored and pleased to be hosting this important event,”Aaron says, “it’s going to be really special.”
The British singer is also set to drop his latest album, “Dance”, in the coming weeks, and he will perform selections from it during the show, including singles such as “Drag Queen”, and “Popstar”. An autobiography, “I Don’t Care: Lessons in Life, Love, Music, and Boybands“, is also on the way this summer.
Meanwhile, Midori, who is also a well-known graphic designer and radio personality, is looking forward to the celebration.
“Our 10 year anniversary fashion show celebrates the excellence and achievement of emerging and independent fashion creatives,” Midori observes.
“Personally, it also serves as a testimony to the hard work and vision of our Editor-in-chief, Lloyd Crawford, and our love for this industry. As Creative Director, I’m thankful for the opportunity to share i-Fashion Magazine with the world, jump start careers in the fashion industry and create a platform for new designers, creatives and ideas to flourish.“
The show, which kicks off at 5:30 PM on May 12th, is being held at 115 West 29th Street, on the second floor.
It’s the latest in a string of major appearances for Aaron, who recently performed at the city’s iconic Carnegie Hall theater for DBQ Magazine’s LOUD 100, and hosed Small Boutique Fashion Week during New York Fashion Week. That’s on the heels of two GLAM Award nominations for Best Male Vocalist and Best Music Video. Now, Aaron and Midori are all set to kick off their most stylish summer yet…see you on the runways!
