Drama Amongst The Stars April 2012

Delvon Johnson

Hello darlings!  Welcome back for another dose of Drama Amongst The stars!

Can we say that Wendy Williams is rude?  Yes! Don’t let her “friend in my head” garbage fool you! I had the opportunity to meet Ms. Williams at the GLAAD Media awards where as she made her way to the banquet room in the Marriott Marquis, fans greeted her and she paid them dust.  I even spoke to her and she ignored me too!  She looked like RuPaul vs. Diana Ross.  As much as I used to love Wendy, I was severely disappointed to see how she treated her fans.  I haven’t watched her show since. The GLAAD Media Awards had quite a line up this year.

Some of the guests included Kim Wayans (In Living Color), LaLa(La La Full Court Life), Jay Manuel of America’s Next Top Model, Emil Wilbekin of Essence Magazine, Janet Mock of People Magazine and more! I had the opportunity to interview several of them.  Jay Manuel was fabulous, with his Gucci jacket (made of metal), and his Louis Vuitton male clutch!  I have one too, but mine is Michael Kors! The celebs were definitely in the building that night!

Patrick Ian Polk’s new hit movie, The Skinny

Patrick Ian Polk’s new hit movie, The Skinny is opening around the country.  I hear that Patrick was read on The Doo Dirty Show.  I don’t know exactly what was said, but rumor has it that it was heated!  Where in the world is GLO TV? (Cricket Sounds). Beyonce Knowles is a high school drop out!  Rumor has it that her parents, Tina and Matthew Knowles took her out of school at fifteen to pursue her music career.  Now while I love Beyonce, as just about every gay man and young girl in America does, I want to slap her parents for not making her get her education.  I mean, at least a high school diploma!  Allegedly, she is going back to school now to get her GED.  While I think that it’s never too late, I think that the message she is giving is to drop out of school, ask your mother to make some sexy clothes, and shake it until you make it.  Not role model material, but I commend her on her effort of going back to school after become a multi millionaire and marrying one too.

Tyra Banks fired Jay Manuel, Nigel Barker, and Ms. Jay too!  It’s been said that America’s Next Top Model has had its lowest ratings ever this season.  Chile, I stopped watching after the episode that Eva won!  I’m just saying. Jay Manuel will be fine, as will Nigel Barker.  They have charisma and a great disposition, but Ms. Jay?  Ummm, “She” is rude and struts around like  hot as jalapenos. But no one will tell her how fierce she looks!  And I can walk better runway that that! I’m just saying. One thing for sure though, she will get a fierce unemployment check!

Sheree Whitfield

Sheree Whitfield from Housewives of Atlanta will not be returning for another season!  Some are saying that her contract wasn’t renewed while others say she was tired of the drama on the show.  Word on the street is Bravo had an All Star Housewives event in NYC and Ms. Whitfield didn’t show. Producers weren’t happy.  Will Marlo be her replacement? I hope not, but I guess we will see next season.

Lee Soljah gave a warm and cute meet and greet at Billie’s Black in Harlem for the Black Pride Committee.  Of course, it couldn’t be a gay event unless drama unraveled and it did! Apparently, Lee didn’t invite some of the committee members that were on the black pride committee last year to come back again to be on the board for this year’s event. DJ Baker didn’t take too kind to that, and went off on Lee!  Twitter was lit up the next day with some serious expressions of exactly how DJ felt. While I love Lee to pieces, I think he should have handles the situation a little differently. All in all,  It was quite a night.

Dwight Eubanks

Dwight Eubanks hosted a Hair and Fashion Show in Newark, NJ for Anthony Eastwick.  Dwight looked stunning at the event, but the night before he was a straight club in Newark called The Key Club  and the DJ’s were throwing him shade on the air from Kiss FM.  They couldn’t take him! Speaking of Kiss FM, say good bye to one of the most legendary radio stations in New York.  After 30 years of being on air, Kiss is merging with WBLS.  The DJ’s are super hyped to stay employed.

Jeff Fox sounded like he had a dozen of red bulls on the air when I heard him recently.  No words as to what Lenny Green, Tom Joyner and Michael Baisden will do, but with their experience, I’m sure they will be fine.  Well, that’s all for now.  Sooooo, until next time…
